Beekeeper

Martin Cassiano started working as a beekeeper when he was 18 years old.  Thirty five years later he has become an expert in the world of bees.
Today he manages 400 beehives,  and collects 20 tons of honey a year.  Amazingly with very little budget,  Martin and his two helpers and  nature's good will (as Martin says)  make this modest business work.

  1. I am fascinated with bee keeping - not sure I want to attempt it, but a little hive out back would be romantic. I would love to photograph a bee farm - the last photo is really lovely!

    1. Denise: Beekeeping it is one of many things we give for granted. The whole process is amazing. It is most definitely hard work but very gratifying.
